Since Latton Fields is moving forward in time a bit, I thought I'd like some sort of small diesel stabling and fueling point (excuse to leave a couple of locos on the layout).

Inspiration came from Perry's brilliant thread,

and I've more or less used the same materials.

Apart from the stairs, everything is bits from around the house or Model Railway spares.

Tanks – Cardboard Tube from Kitchen Cling Film roll
Tank Ends – Buttons
Pressure Release  Valve/Tank Vent – Buttons.
Valves/Tank Hatches - Plastic LED holder Clips
Tank Hatches Covers - Buttons
Valve Wheels – Press Stud halves
Pipes – Wire Coat Hanger pieces
Raised Walkway – Styrene pieces.
Stairs – Liberated from Metcalfe Small Factory kit.
Card cradle covered with Scalescenes brick paper.

The card base painted grey (concrete?) is a bit warped where I've been spraying paint and matt varnish, but should be ok when stuck to the base board.



Not that good really, but passable when I apply my Five Foot Rule (Three Foot Rule + 2).



Just waiting for the demolition team to take down the old goods shed, to get the fueling points in.

My sister tends to keep sewing stuff for years.

The buttons probably came off coats from the 1960s, so may well be from the correct era

Are you planning to have a bund around it?

Probably Max, and as it doesn't need to necessarily be a brick wall I might re-mould part of the embankment on one side.

Still considering, but I need to get back to the back scene to start getting the OHLE up.

Somehow, I've ended up doing three things all at once which are dependant on each other.
