Take a look here…At Burseldon Brickworks Museum today I met this chap…

To say I was deeply impressed would be a gross understatement. Sadly,  I must have disturbed my camera settings and all but his picture have  come out blurred, but his site below will give some idea of his mastery  of the subject. No plastic, no bought-in stuff, I mean, who else would model cobbles and flints in oil paints and let them dry for a fortnight before anything else can be done? He showed me a National Trust drawing for a random stone building, he has even copied the shapes of the stones, cut from fine paper and water-coloured…

Amazing work. I don't think I would have the patience to stick on individual bricks, I tried scribing bricks which came out OK, but was tedious to the extreme.

Cheers

Remarkable models Doug but my first reaction was "they're lifeless" ……………

No doubt excellent reproductions of the real thing but more museum pieces then miniature versions of what actually exists.  Where is the moss ?  Where are the rain induced runs on the rooves, the rising damp, the slipped slates etc. etc.  :hmm

No, I have to admit, I much prefer what you produce.  :thumbs

I'm with Peter on that. Excellent work, but I noticed that the scaleis quite large- 1:43 or less in some examples.

Having said that I doubt if  I could produce that quality, but I prefer the DooferDog productions :)
