thanks peter the money will be well spent . i had a go at dcc i only got it for the sound but now i have no sound was i inpressed with it ?well yes and no ,but as i have four very large tail chasers with no points on the layout (well for now) i dont see the point of having a dcc controller as my dc one just does the same. i was fine with it before not knocking dcc

I understand Shaun and no doubt the discussions between DC and DCC will go on forever.  :thumbs

I bought because I was "starting out" and it seemed the sensible thing to do although I don't fully understand how it works ……………:hmm  Buying DC for me would be rather like me buying a carburetter aspirated car with a side valve engine - I know how they work but they're "not the latest" and modern engines have advantages.
