Hey Bryan :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D you made me laugh mate :P I should have voted that too,but i didn't want to explain either  Ummm i see your a Tax consultant  and i am a locksmith working for myself so i guess we won't explain anything hey 8) I am trying to think of a way to write my train layout off as a business expense :D But i can't think of one
BTW Bryan……a very nice layout you have there i bet that cost you a packet :P I hope to have mine started shortly when the slow boat from China finally arrives in australia
So far I have refrained from voting here, because I don't have a layout at all, YET. Now, I've decided to post what I intend to spend (still won't vote). After going to several shops around my location, I felt I would need to spend somewhere around 2000 to 2500 dollars. So I guess that would place me in the largest group to date. The money is burning a hole in my pocket, can't wait to get started.
Hey slow down guys. While maybe I would like to spend that kind of money, the one who must be obeyed would …… well would probably do whatever your's would. By the largest group, I meant the largest size of group, not the most money Guess I should have placed a comma in there somewhere. ie: 2,000 to 2,500
When I voted on this I initially took a punt on how much I spent. I then started writing down my locos and how much they cost. I'm not even halfway through the locos and I'm well over $10K. Add to this an ECoS, lots of coaches and wagons, lots of digital decoders and modules, wood for baseboards, stacks of scenic stuff, buildings, people, boats, tools, I'm in quite serious danger of coming over the $20K mark. My wife will kill me if she finds out!
Jeff just do what i do when the wife goes on about my layout costs, i throw open her 3 wardrobes and say, snap. i am still a good runner.!!!     8)
