Rail enthusiasts can now enjoy views of Scandinavian fjords, the Swiss Alps, and even Mount Rushmore - in Germany.

Twin brothers Frederick and Gerrit Braun have built the world's longest model railway in the city of Hamburg.

It has six miles of track, cost £8m to build and its 1,150 square metres (12,380 square feet) take in the US, Scandinavia and the Swiss Alps……….

The minature wonderland is quite a big tourist attraction in Hamburg.  I'd love to visit it.  Shame I'm so far away.

I recently found this layout online by pure chance and came to the forum to see if everyone else knew about it. Obviously you had beaten me to it. :thumbs

It's an amazing layout. I wonder how many people it took to build all that scenery. Fantastic!

Just noticed in the TV pages that Paul Merton in Europe is going to show him visiting the layout.  It's on for an hour on Channel 5 on Monday the 18th at 21.00.

May be worth watching or recording….

I suspect the computor control system RR&Co was developed for this amazing layout

Apart from it's huge size, I think this layout is as well known for the moving activities of the plastic population in the back of cars and other likely locations!
