I am so enjoying researching this topic, i am just amazed how powerfull GWR where and how arrogant at the same time, more on this later.
I was wondering if i should carry this topic on or do you think it is of no interest to people.

Leaving aside the jokes, any railway modeller would be happy to read a summarized history of any line, Phill.
I like the way you have given some details (I learned a few facts :!: ), without being long winded.
