PS: My scratchbuilding table is located right next to the computer. That is a must while trying to build something taken from a picture. :thumbs

At other times, such as now, I log on to the forum at my work PC.

It currently is a trifle untidy ……
"A trifle untidy" is the shout from SWMBO "more like a disaster area or a bombsite. Are you ever going to tidy it up"
"Yes dear, once the layout is finished" :pathead:pathead
"Gawd help us !!!!! I will be pushing up daisys before then. Get it sorted NOW !!!!!"

The lap top will also be handy as I can take it out to the garage to do my periodic updates for ECoS rather than having to unplug all the cables and bring it in the house.

My desktop is in the corner of my play room. I run my business from home, so it is where I am mostly. You can see an email from YMR on the screen.
This is our No4 daughter, Alice's laptop which is wireless connected to the net work and left exactly where she finished with it - on my chair!
This the SWMBO's studio which I had to build before I could start on MMR. Sound familiar?
These are some wild ducks which have made themselves at home and are eating SWMBO's veggie garden. Sometimes it's hard being green!
This is SWMBO's computer etc., inside the studio looking (glaring) out at the ducks, which have just exit-ed, stage left. This laptop is also wireless connected to the network. Now for the good stuff . . .
This is a shot of my laptop at the nervous centre. It has a separate screen so that visitors can watch me weave my magic on the Lokprogammer. You can see the YMR homepage. You can also see under the layout because my curtains haven't arrived as yet.
You can see in this shot that I have split the screen and have a Loksound manual on the repeater. This is useful when Lokprogramming using CV's for the more obscure functions. You can also see the CCTV controller/monitor on the next shelf down and it's TV repeater in the background. You can also see the small cordless phone which is interfaced into the Lenz system as a "radio" throttle.
You can also see the mine coal prep plant in the background, and that the people of Monroe have erected a giant statue of a DeWalt cordless drill behind the railway station!
As well you can also see the digital readout of my speed trap - a usefull tool for speed matching of locos - and the repeater switches and LEDs for the passing loops at Salt Creek on the other side of the layout behind the hills.,
. . . and finally, looking left, the first panel of my turnout control. I hope you have enjoyed the show. Cheers. Max

He is like the pilot on the Star Ship USS Enterprise when he gets going - the fingers flash over keyboards responding to the Captains' command " Warp 9"
