Small station on the Devan & Summersett

The Wordsworth Fuel platform - no. not going to be used so I  rdered a new Bachmann unit but in the mean time, I have moved one from Tawnton to here & now re-ballasted the new  track.

Brian,  the Bachmann Scenecraft unit is hard to find in Australia so mine is coming ex Hattons.
When we do find them, they are usually a LOT dearer than from UK as the UK vat is removed
but in Australia, there is a  Importer between manufacturer & retailer to add their bit on plus GST/ VAT.
Postage from Hattons is not much more than postage within Australia

I would imagine with the 20% vat removed by the time you have paid the postage you end up paying similar to what we do here with the vat included..

They are more cute here if you order anything from a non EU country if the value is over £18 including postage the postman stands at your front door expecting Vat on whatever the amount is plus another £8or 9 for the privilege of robbing you of another 20% for the government.

That £18 has been like that for donkeys years and they have not raised it at all

That's a super looking scene Sol - you capture the atmosphere very well.  Love the scrubby weeds between the tracks and he way it gently curves off to the new arch - very realistic.

The last station to be built will be Wachit which comes off Tawnton - see the plan on the main D&S thread of  a couple of days ago……

Hi Sol,

the above from Wachit post #1 but having looked thru all your D&S thread headers I can't tell which one you're referring to as the Main one. Can you point me to it or re-post the plan in current form perhaps?

Thanks Peter, plenty of detailing work still to be done plus I haven't even started on scenery at the stone works or Tawnton Brewery area yet….

Yes John,  Scalescenes R011 Random Ashlar   but the new papers printed on a different printer than before so there was a slight colour variation which weathering powders have helped to mix them.

Behind the stone crusher, I had 6 turnouts directing traffic & it caused a couple or three problems so I cleaned 5 of them out
before

and replaced with one diamond

now to add sleepers / droppers / paint track         and then ballast & generally tidy up…

Due to operating changes, this station Watchit will suffer a major       rebuild

the station platform & building       will move 2" to the right to allow for a third loop through       Watchit.   even a tree or two will go….
