One station of the Devan & Summersett
Good to see some scenery emerging!Re your road - the first time I tried Agnew's Water Putty I really struggled with it. The next few times I coped much better, and now it's my favourite method. It does take some getting used to, though. Just thought I'd mention it.
Oh - and if you do you use it, and decide to mix paint with it, be warned that for some strange reason it speeds up the drying time considerably.

The card road will be covered with Scalescenes Tarmac TX20 & glues/plastered into the surface- plenty of painting, etc to do.

It goes over the lift up - tarmac covering done.

It will have to be cut to lift up. This is the easy part - fitting into the surface & adding more plaster - maybe putty this time at the edges, will take some time & care. But will give the plaster a basic light brown/ tan colour first.

Engineers would always use a cutting where possible.
"It will have to be cut to lift up"
Does that mean you are stuck in the room until it's finished?

It depends on whom I am stuck in the room with - if it is Bob's maid Justine, then I will never leaveDoes that mean you are stuck in the room until it's finished?

Justine would just distract you from getting plastered…………….
Looks good Sol and I totally agree with Marty - it's good to change jobs from time to time. You get new ideas that way and there's always something to admire.

was another small siding kicking back into a cattle dock. The last operating session saw that this shunting manoeuvre create problems with main line running so it was decided to make both sidings non-operational but just a scenic area. DMU's will stop at the platform which is to be set onto the liftup. So while the points are made fixed, the time was taken to shift the point into the cattle siding closer to the liftup by 4" so that additional points can be installed for allowing Tawnton to be a through running station and also to be able to access the planned extension.
This photo shows the existing LH point moved closer to the camera ( the old cattle siding still visible & to be extended) with a new RH ready to access the diamond for entrance behind Tawnton Flour mill ( where the pliers are situated)into the main station & further down, another new LH ( just sitting there - not yet installed) to match into the diamond for the extension on the centre peninsula.

Polyfilla in the little air slots in the back of the telly..
Polyfilla on the sole of my right espadrille which meant…
Polyfilla prints at least 1/3rd of the way across the carpet and how was I to realise that the dishcloth had been used only moments before to wipe spill of tomato soup? So…
Polyfilla pastel-pink stains around the hole on a magnolia wall….so
Magnolia emulsion on a little bit of sponge to dab round the hole, which resulted in
Magnolia emulsion in the little slots in the back of the telly..
Magnolia emulsion on the navy-blue kitchen towel…..
Get the picture? If I can do that with 1 oz of Poly-ruddy-filla how will I ever do a 'Sol' road-way without a divorce?
