When the ramp's fixed, paint the road past the turnout control and you'll have a header nomination.  :thumbs

That's a great shot Sol. :thumbs

The trees look just right and, with a couple of vihicles in place, as Max said - "Header Nomination" stuff. :cheers

On the first shot of the pair, what's the track we can just see coming in from the lower left ?  Is it the end of a siding ?

On edit - no, forget that - I can see it disappears into a tunnel ………….. it's your well documented tunnel mouth - I have to keep reminding myself of the track plan ……………..

This is from the reverse direction to show what is left to create basic scenery for Charde.

The temporary cattle/stock platfoprm can be seen  & to the left is the location for Farm & Fuel supplies: a small platform & shed plus tanks to go in. Stop signs to be added to the crossing for the track feeding the Chair Co.

That's a brilliant use of that slightly curved backscene Sol - I didn't realise it wasn't straight ……….

I know you've posted about it before but just remind me - are the control rods for the points under the baseboard or is a groove routed in to the top of it ?

At Charde, the baseboard was covered with 3mm cork so I routed a slot with Stanley Knife. Rods inside 3mm Evergreen tubing similar to this photo from Watchit - the microswitch is not used at Charde.

Now I have started on the small cattle dock - unusual shape as it fits into the road & I have some more road surface to instal.

The dock is loaded via truck backing into it & only half a dozen cattle at time & one cattle wagon.

Thanks for the info on the point control Sol - I'd forgotten the cork surface. ;-)

The cattle dock looks good and sturdy.:thumbs  Often, in the countryside, they were very small affairs.  Our village had one that held probably not more than 6 beasts in 2 (or maybe 3) pens.  My memory isn't as good as it was but I do remember it was a very small dock because there seemed to be such a lot of brickwork, concrete and track for such a tiny usable area.

How do the cattle get to the wagon, Sol?

- apart from two fingers and doink, doink, doink.

Normally the wagons have a drop down door that sits across the gap.

does that clear it up?

Getting there ….

made from a Ratio kit , the truck to show where it will unload a couple of cows. If stock traffic gets too small, then this will be closed.

Hi Ron,

I don't know how long the cattle will stay in the red truck. The sides look a little low!!!

Does the Ratio kit come complete with the bars ?  If so, what are they ?

Oh - just a thought.  Do you have the gates behind rthe truck mounted upside down ?:roll:  If you look at the diagonal, it won't carry any weight that way up ……………..:hmm

Easy to tell the climate is different where you are Sol …………………

That Walthers kit wouldn't go down well in UK - there's no roof and it ALWAYS rains in UK.:lol:

Nice looking kit nevertheless. :thumbs
