Station set on the North Norfolk coast.
Hi tom, around the bridge area near the station and at the far end I am going to use Metcalfe's farm buildings. No rush now but I still have the fiddle yard side to finish laying track and points yet and still to add point motors and control to the layout.Cheers

I've seen the farm building kits by Metcalfe and they look really good. As for the control etc …… a bit at a time. You are making good progress.
cheers for now

The layouts coming along in leaps and bounds. Good to see that you have moved the goods shed to the outer siding. :thumbs

Been busy in the shed today, added an extra siding near the station and laid the fiddle yard track. Just the droppers and wiring up to do!

Bit of a comprimise but should look good when it's done and fitted.
Fitted and soldered all the droppers in the fiddle yard and tested, all OK.
Stargazing now while it's clear!!

Got to tackle a bit of a problem today, when I set a rake of coaches on the main platform line they slowly ran down the line to the layout end!! It is only a very small gradient but enough to cause future problems I think with 'run-rounds' and shunting so!
I'm going to remove or slacken all the screws at the lower end and using a car-jack as support slowly lift that end. I will leave a rake of coaches on the line to check the gradient (and a spirit level!) then re-screw all the screws to the new height. I'm sure its only 5-6 mm but best do it now! Will update you later on!!

PS; the electrics are working fine, just a few more droppers to do!
You should have just placed a gradient post by the side of the track. Job done!
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about…the gradient post is on the right of this picture, against the wall.

Decided to make the 2 sidings in the fiddle yard into a run-round and add a small platform for a bit of extra interest!

Looking good. I like the shed with loco's suitably posed there. You're running like a steam train yourself
Excellent stuff.
