Station set on the North Norfolk coast.

Hi tom, around the bridge area near the station and at the far end I am going to use Metcalfe's farm buildings. No rush now but I still have the fiddle yard side to finish laying track and points yet and still to add point motors and control to the layout.

Hi Ron,

I've seen the farm building kits by Metcalfe and they look really good. As for the control etc …… a bit at a time. You are making good progress.

If you have brake vans or brake coaches in your rakes you can glue a small peice of foam that just rubs on the axle that will stop them rolling away, but doesn't really make any difference to normal running, you only need it on one vehicle within the rake.

Been busy in the shed today, added an extra siding near the station and laid the fiddle yard track. Just the droppers and wiring up to do!

Had some track re-laying to do tonight, I bought a Peco diesel workshop kit as there are big workshops at Weybourne. It's a 2 track building and I checked the size and have had to reduce the sidings from 3 to 2 in order to get the building in!

Bit of a comprimise but should look good when it's done and fitted.
Fitted and soldered all the droppers in the fiddle yard and tested, all OK.
Stargazing now while it's clear!!

You should have just placed a gradient post by the side of the track. Job done! :lol:

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about…the gradient post is on the right of this picture, against the wall.

Decided to make the 2 sidings in the fiddle yard into a run-round and add a small platform for a bit of extra interest!

Finished the workshop today it's on the layout! Few more droppers added today and now it's time to think about scenics! Bought another Metcalfe Platform kit for the up line and branch line.
