Station set on the North Norfolk coast.

That too is my concern, if you put it on the wall labelled B will you have enough space in front allow for passing traffic?

It didn't look to me to allow enough for cars so my preferred "back", just to confuse matters, is your R wall.

Of course, the Tarmac may just be the beer garden with the placement of a few potted plants, table, etc in which case, either will be fine.

Just my thoughts. Rule one Ron.

If your not going to corner it then B as it looks like the road ENDS at the hotel..R looks like the road is passing so you have to keep the front of hotel clear and make the road go somewhere... B ...you can wall the front and make it a beer garden etc as mentioned

Very good Ron. How were they wired then ? Not sure how you have set up your system for DCC accessories.

The Train Tec light signals have 2 wires straight to the DCC  bus, select an address number (I link it with a point) join the contacts at the signal base to program them. The Ratio semiphore's need a Train Tec signal board, all the wires are joined to this (upto 2 signals) then select an address number (could also be a point address) and program using a switch on the board.
If I can do it anyone can!!

Check out the Train Tec website Tom

Hope that the new glasses help when they arrive. Nothing worse than not being able to clearly see what you are working on.

Well, big change in DCC control! After serching the signalling question I had I found route setting was the way to go, Digitrax seem to want all bits and pieces to get that to work so I took the bold step of buying a DCC02 Prodigy Advance 2 starter package!! Off to read the manual on line now and see what changes (if any?) I need to make.
Guess they'll be a Digitrax Zephyr controller for sale soon!!

Bold indeedy,

That came out of nowhere. what was the issue exactly. Is it the ability to be able to control your signals from the handset or were there other motives as well ?

cheers

Hi Tom, I set the signals to operate on the same address's as the points they controlled but, I found that running loco's (or trains) the reverse way the signals were set wrong. So it was either give the signal's their own address or find some way of setting routes!? i didn't fancy setting points and signal address's before each train movement so looked to see what was available to set routes and be upgradable for the future. Digitrax seemed to want extra's adding to do the job but the Prodigy had them already at a 'reasonable' cost. I had to hunt one down though, they're like hen's teeth to get hold of!!

Cheers
Ron

PS Could keep the Digitrax for a future plank project!!:hmm

Hi Ron,

At least you managed to find one. that's the main thing. I'm surprised you did not look at going down the NCE route as I'm sure the power cab can do all that malarkey as well and it costs £ 150 or there abouts. Anyway, you've got your first choice so good luck getting to know it and get the demo of the points and signals changing etc.

cheers for now

Just had to email DC Concepts about my ADS-8fx Solenoid Accessory Decoder, I have 5 points (2 doubles!) working fine but the other 3 outputs are not working!! A couple of members on the RM Forum have had the same problem, anybody here had a problem?
Anyway sent an email so I'll see what they say!!
I've now given my signals all separate address's so I've got to get use to operating with them afresh!!

Cheers
Ron
