Are you going to Nene Country Park (Ferrymeadows)?

I was there two weekends agon in the motorhome, out walking and rounded a corner to find two Heron sat there on fence posts, right made me jump as they just stood there completly still, wernt sure if they were real for a while until one of them moved its head.

:):):)

Hi Andy, on the River Nene but 6 miles East of Ferry Meadows on the Nene Washes at Whittlesey. I know Ferry Meadows very well as I lived only a mile away for 18 years! Had a great day though, 12 Marsh Harriers, Bittern, Barn Owl, B T Godwits and a new bird for me, a Corncrake!!

Added a platform signal box (Ratio) as per original and am checking out a small station building similar to the Weybourne.
Also 'glossed' my A4 Gadwall at the weekend, pleased with the results :)

New arrival at Weybourne (& I only went to the shop for some ballast!) A Bachmann LNER B1! It took me an hour to fit the decoder as after checking on another rail forum, it seems a piece of ballast has to be sawn off to make room for the decoder! It was and it fitted!!

Hi Ron

A nice smooth runner by the looks of things. A bit more committal than a bag of ballast though.:mutley

Great addition.

Just made a static grass 'applicator' using a YouTube video and it seems to work OK! Ordered some static grass and looking forward to trying this out, looks good on other layouts so it's going on mine!!:):)
