Station set on the North Norfolk coast.

Progress report; getting on with the scenics, the retaining wall in the goods yard and I've bricked in the controller!
Also added a line which disappears into the yard, it is my programming track is now part of the layout!

Cheers

Cracking progress Ron, the scenics are coming on a treat. I guess the disused line that has been seperated from the engine sheds is the programming track ?? I like the way it has been finished off, another part of the scenery put to good use.

Keep up the good and speedy work. :thumbs

Cheers, Gary.

Hi Ron,

Maybe just some gorse or ……. The remains of an old halt platform.

Must congratulate you on the scenics. Really fantastic work.

May be a good spot for a platelayer's hut and a pile of sleepers?

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

I can see why you like those A4s Ron. First clip is a wow, stand back in awe, while the second is simply fab and groovy. I adore the start-up and had no idea that sound could be so good.

It's a great adventure you're having there Ron, so keep those trains rolling!

Maybe I could use another "Streak" afterall ……………….:roll::roll:

Thanks Bill, enjoyed filming them!!

Hi Peter, whistle and chime are button presses, the rest as set. Check out  the online manual at the Hornby website.
The streaks are my childhood memories as a young lad living next to the ECML!! :)

I think you'll be on shed number two by Christmas.:mutley

Great progress and equally great results. Enjoy your weekend away.

Out of curiosity, how much mod roc did it take to do these sections ?

I've used 2 small packs to do this section and the one near the door. Warm water and a little salt and it sets solid in under 2 hours.

Hi Ron,

Good to know as I will be using it for my hill side quarry scene at some stage. 2 hours is quicker than I thought. I intend to put some brown emulsion through the water before soaking the bandage in it.

Back home now, got some bits from Howes model shop ,

Both were Dapol kits, the footbridge (which is too high I know!) was OK but the water tower kit was a nightmare!!
The tank base was twisted and 2 of the tank sides were warped, not sure I will buy any other Dapol kits after that!!
Anybody else had a problem??
