Somewhere SW of London. Somewhen before today
The slight alterations to the platform positions require some new “concrete” legs to be built up.These are from Dart Castings but are now supplied as 3D-printed plastic rather than cast white metal.
They still need to be painted and the two pieces stuck together. And as with the metal ones the holes for fence wire need to be cleanly drilled out.
0.6mm for the three lower piano-wire strands and 1.0mm for the brass rod at the top.

The road bridge footpath was begun. Each paver is individually laid then squared off so it takes time.
Two short lengths of track were replaced at the “London end” of the passenger line. That will give a much smoother run across the board join out of the fiddle yard.
More rolling stock has returned from store including one of the blue 2-EPB sets and most of the Presflo rake.

From memory you've got the general look of the railway and especially the platforms spot on Rick

The only thing missing for me is the third rail

The third rail was there and will return. The "pots" are still attached to the sleepers but will require renewing. It had come adrift in the removal process and wasn't going to be an easy job to refit so a removal and restoration is the next best thing.Ed said
Think I've mentioned in the past I grew up in Putney and used the trains from Waterloo a lot.

The overall style of the station is that of a typical SR "concrete halt" with the bulk of the hardware coming from their concrete works at Exmouth Junction. Plenty of examples exist though many have been partially or even wholly rebuilt over the years. A good many platform extensions to older and usually brick-built stations are also formed from these concrete slabs. I took as my prototype East Worthing though Fishersgate and Aldrington are closely similar. Farther west Fishbourne, Nutbourne, Southbourne and Warblington are more examples though these IIRC have 6-car capacity platforms not 4-car.
All had (and some still have) the "wire" fence formed of a steel tube through the top of the concrete posts and three strands of wire rope below. I represent that with brass rod and piano wire.
Thank you for the positive feedback.

Waddlemarsh is really looking good now, Rick. You've done a tremendous amount of atmospheric modelling.

Thank you Jeff. It's been a lot more work than I expected but to be fair much of that was caused by the boards being left out in the London weather for several weeks in anticipation of being collected for scrap. Some of the track is still that laid in Australia around 20 years ago now when I began a new project which never got beyond a few powered test runs.
Even the more sceptical of our club members, who saw the project as "more junk dumped in our clubroom" when it wasn't worked on for around a year for want of space, have finally come around to offering generous comments and interest.
I am missing the yard crane from Waddlemarsh Mk1 as that was damaged during removal and cannot be replaced. It was discontinued quite some time ago and nothing even similar is currently available. The nearest, and one I am reluctant to use, is the ancient Airfix (now Dapol) crane kit for which the tooling must by now be very well worn. I examined a kit a while ago whilst shopping in Camborne and noted it was covered in flash and appeared slightly distorted. Other bits and pieces are added back to the scenes as they come to light on safari in the loft or storage boxes here and there.
The time period represented is indeterminate but broadly later 1960s. That allows me to offer steam, diesel and electric items for service in green, blue and (for vans) maroon. I also have a blood & custard Mk1 rake and there's the chocolate / cream "condemned" Mk1 on the siding which is a Hornby Railroad item bought for that purpose and never intended to be a runner. i would like to include trolleybus wiring and a trolleybus (which I have ready to use) on the road bridge as a novel feature but that would put the time back to late 1950s / early 1960s and prevent the use of any blue stock and some of the electrics. Maybe it wasn't dismantled as quickly as we remembered!
I have to remember to not over-do the rolling stock. There are ten sidings in the fiddle yard so that limits the number of different trains available at any one time. But they can be swapped around.
