Barchester is in the usergroup ‘Super-moderators’

Early construction of a simple 00 garage layout

Forgot to say, if you are on the recents page, simply click on the big blue yourmodelrailway at the top of every page OR a home button, and that takes you right back out to the home page with all the listed forums. If you are several layers into a forum look just below the big blue ymr and you see the ' you are here' breadcrumb trail, each piece of THAT is clickable,So right now if I'm in Teasel bay, I can click on 'members personal layouts' in that breadcrumb trail, and it will take me up one step so I can see all the other Topics listed in that Area, rather than going right out to the homepage, navigating down to the members  layouts forum and back in to see the list  :thumbs

I really should put together a users guide  :hmm

Cheers

Matt

Wasnie me, a big boy did it and ran away

I guess you mean the wires inside the loco, they had simply wired the left track to the right and vis versa! The second both bogies were on the track it would short.

A quick check with the meter and I found it was the rear which was the issue.

Hi Chris.  Thank you for your reply. Sorry about that, I was being flippant, that often happened when I was working, a car examiner would sometimes meet the train with a message from the controller to investigate an earth on the train.Best wishes Kevin

The locals were excited to see new freight traffic through Teasel, in the form of a chopper.

The beach bar has opened for the season. Early holiday makers are already on hand to try it out. I need to get hold of some small glasses for the bar.

Hi Chris.  Why “Chopper “ ? Is it’s speciality in chopping off the legs of itinerant persons who stray on the P Way?   Best wishes Kevin

When I got a job on BR Pway at Pouparts Junction, just outside Clapham Jct, I took the place of a bloke who'd dropped a can of point oil on to the juice rail. He was badly burnt and had to retire. It was a dodgy job at the best of times.

Cheers Pete.

Tbh I don’t know. That is the name given to a class 20! I might get a second when funds allow in rail fright grey as they often ran in pairs.

Ouch! Sounds nasty. No juice rail to worry about through Teasel! Haha.

Hi Pete.   It’s funny how passengers like the P Way, one leapt off the platform at High Street Ken, she won’t be doing that again, likewise the one that walked up the track at Parsons Green.  Best wishes Kevin

A very nice freight train, Chris, although I'm a bit worried that the locals are excited about that and not…. THE PUNCH AND JUDY SHOW!   :Happy

Yeah, they must be in a right old state to even contemplate that.

Cheers Pete.

Managed to catch a photo of the “Jolly Fisherman” special yesterday. Heading through Teasel Bay on its way back to London.

The owners of the beach bar have also purchased more benches to improve custom.

I was going to get the resin poured, but there seems to be a World wide shortage of raw materials to make the resin so at the moment the sea will have to wait!

Darn those shortages!  But I know it is going to look great when it's done.  Love the Jolly Fisherman special and good to see the barman cashing in on the warm weather.

Hi Chris.  Going over the videos again, but, this time looking at the dates at on the top of each film, I have just realised, that it was at the end of 2019, probably the worst when Christmas that I have ever had. I spent November and December in Kings College hospital prior to being discharged, only to be readmitted to have my heart op. Nothing at all to do with modelling. Best wishes Kevin

I do take more videos, but it’s a bit of a faff to upload them to YouTube/other third party site and link them on here. I tend to add more refined videos.
Anyhow, I hope you are doing better now anyway and are enjoying the nice weather.
