Even with planning in AnyRail. Its only after stying the photos I release the terminating line can't return. Blue marks the run in, but there is no route back. 

Tonight I am going to re-jig to allow bidirectional use of the terminating line. To allow DMU's the ability to arrive and leave Norcott on to the mainline.

Ooops, a bug methinks! Still at least it seems you are able to get code 75 electrofrog points ok, Gt Eastern ?

Had a reshuffle. Looks much better now, allowing access to the terminal line both in/out. Makes the line a little shorter but I think will still fit a three car DMU… just. 





So now we move on to ‘death bridge’. Death bridge is a temporarily structure simply to test alignment between the two sections. 






The next step is to make everything less ‘temporary’. I brought some brackets from B&Q to support the station board. I’ve not yet decided on the removable bridge structure yet. 

That is all looking very smart Colin Chris ( :lol:).  Although those double slips are going to be fun to wire up!  You manage to make TB to look much larger in your photographs, which is a credit to both your modelling skills and photography.  Your new station will be great to operate, I'm sure.
Death Bridge sounds great, very Top Gear, (the most dangerous railway track, in the world), and also very LNER, as I'm sure Peter will confirm.  

You may well know this, but Gormo, formerly of this forum, did an interesting drop-down section, rather than a lift up section, which may be worth looking at.  

Seems it is the season for some serious extension work, although you are far ahead of me.

Teasel is pretty small, limited by the size of a single Garage. If/when we buy a new house my wife knows it has to have a double garage (or comparable space) for the layout! 

Due to the space I spent time early on planning ways of allowing it to expand as time went on. I do enjoy photography as well, so generally I take time to stage photos to hide areas that are incomplete. Sometimes easier than others depending on the angle! Having a larger station like Norcott will allow me to use some new skills. It will also be more of a modern design than sleepy Teasel. Still based 80s-90s but will have colour light signals and maybe some catenary.  I have an ATP on order (from GEM), which will look out of place on the Teasel line. 

So the Boxfile competition has started. This is my entry ‘Litter Junction’.

The rules I follow for the boxfile is that I don’t purchase anything, it has to use materials I already have/use for Teasel or items which are borrowed and returned. I’d also like to thank Michael for his input and help during the build.






Litter Junction is an urban scene, a little different from the idilic Teasel. 






The bridge is scratch built from scrap MDF and some off cuts (the bits normal people throw away!) of Scale Model Scenery kits. 






The water is resin, similar pot to the mill scene but with a little extra brown pigment, to represent a very slow moving river/canal. The pipe is actually the holder for a birthday candle, that sticks into a cake!






Someone has even decided to discard a stolen bike.

A brilliant build Chris, it looks great.  You really have mastered the water, it looks just right.  I really like the colour and texture of the river bank and the factory is just right.  I wonder if anyone will spot the mirror?
Certainly not a pretty, scene, but a very realistic one.  Clever use of recycling discarded materials too (ironically, given the theme).  It's almost unbelievable that it is a box file.  Great Job.

That's excellent Chris - and what a great subject !  That should make a few people blush - and hopeflly, take their litter home in future !!

I too love the water - that stuff coming out of the drain will ensure no fish ever get to pee in that part of the river ……………. :roll:

As Michael also said, given the title, are you allowed to point out that everything is from your scrap box ?

Yes I spotted the mirror and thought it a very nice touch. The whole thing is superb and easy to not realise how small it all is.

It really is a sad sight that's all too often seen nowadays.

As it stands ‘Litter Junction’ is 16 likes ahead of the nearest. It’s still pretty early doors though as the voting ends on the 7th. There are some great entries, I’m pretty surprised to be in the lead at this time.

Thanks. I had no idea either when I started. I have followed advice on here and tutorials such as Rail Road Creak on YouTube. Everything I do is just a carbon copy of other peoples methods. If things don’t work move on and try again! Good luck.
