Early construction of a simple 00 garage layout

That is wonderful Chris - I was very impressed.

The "Screaming Banana" thundering past looked and sounded absolutely spot on and the late night DMU also caught my eye - it too looked brilliant.

What was particularly impressive was the background sound of the waves - not many people would have thought of doing that so full marks - it definitely gave it a "seaside" atmosphere.   :pathead :pathead

Thanks Peter. There is countryside bird noises as well! Haha. Adds a little ambiance!

Here are a couple of shots from today that I added to the virtual model show.

A few of Teasels regulars running today. Even got a visit from the Santa Steam Special.

I started buying steamers originally. I have 4 of them and then I decided on an 80s (ish) theme, which is what you can see above. I’ve got a modest 9 locos at the moment.

How many do you have at Faversham?

Even more modest…. 3 steam, 3 electrics and a shunter (although I have 4 or 5 old analogue locos).  Partly because of cost and partly because I haven't really decided on an era.  I have an idea for Faversham II which will probably make things easier to choose what to buy, but I had better finish version 1 first!

Love this photo - just the right number of passengers during the current pandemic and the coach lighting makes a huge difference.  The other photos are good too - it's just that as I quickly scrolled through them, this one caught my eye :

Hi Chris.   I remember the bar’s, and other outlets, all over the London Underground which were frequented by members of staff, from Newsagents, Tobacconists, and Bars, even Greengrocers. And British Railways were no different. Best wishes Kevin

Very clever Chris - is it all done by mirrors ………
Have you seen any of those Christmas light shows the Americans put on their houses - not sure if they're real or done with CGI.

Thanks both. <geek mode> I wrote a light sequencer in C# which fires commands to an Arduino.  The Arduino basically becomes a fancy light switch!

Hi Petermac.  And Chris please excuse me for butting in. Down here in South East 15 (Peckham) with all the rich incomers ? moving in, there are two houses with really flashy lights on the front of their houses. Well anyway they have been up in previous years, but due to lockdown I cannot vouch for 2020 as I haven’t been out . Best wishes Kevin

Not much going on at Teasel the last few weeks. Most of my time I’ve been building Lego and playing Paw Patrol! As well as eating my body weight in chocolate…
Hope you all are enjoying the festive period!

Funny you should mention the rich incomers. I was dragged up in Clapham and schooled in Brixton and couldn't believe the change in both suburbs when visiting on holidays. So now it's spread to Peckham eh. I wonder where all the misplaced people went.

Cheers Pete.

I’m sure I can get a photo of the kids Lego. I’ve finally made  it into the garage this evening. The chocolate joined me..
