I'm beginning to think I'm in 'Only fools and horses'Hi Chris. Are you going to video the Railway for Christmas this year? And I wholeheartedly agree with Dave,It is about time that you took “ novice “ out of your user name. Best wishes Kevin

Tonight’s job is filing coping stones into a plastic L bracket to hide the edging on the sea wall. Above are the various states up to the undercoat. I’ve filed my thumb a few times in the process!

I suspect that boring, insignificant jobs like this make a massive difference to the model. I still have that pleasure to come ………

Don’t worry, the wood and mod podge supports are temporary! ;-)I've got to be honest, Chris, it did take a little while to spot it….. but it really does look good and gives a very neat finish. Definitely worth the effort.

It is a good job that it’s easy(ish) to access. One of the magnets had got caught. Seem to have solved the issue now! Then I notice that one of the lamps had gone out.

Back under the layout tracing the problem back to a dry joint.
After all that fun I could get back on to my original plan of reinstating the station Christmas lights!

You keep tinkering with your lady's works and your lamps - I'll watch the wall ……………which does indeed look brilliant !!

Touch wood, after a year, my cyclists have not been a problem. I fear it would not be quite so easy to rectify (although not impossible)
The edging looks great. Not overly noticeable but everything looks just as it ought, a perfect job, I reckon. Peter is right, your wall looks super, but then the whole scene does. Top class.

I've decided to hold fire on the water pour for this year, there are very large stickers on the resin which state not to pour in cold and or damp conditions. Where as the garage temperature is stays pretty consistent, I don't want to risk it, spoiling the scene. So I think I'll hold off that until March (ish). Out of everything I've done so far, the resin pour worries me the most as it'll make or break the beach scene.
That also gives me a little time to finish the harbour before the pour.

If you find some suitable boats for the harbour give me a shout. Not found exactly what I want yet! That will also give me the time to source some boats!
