Early construction of a simple 00 garage layout

Hi Chris
Late again I am afraid…..I was expecting to see it on Wednesday  …like Peter in France, here in Canada we commemorate Remembrance Day on the 11th and it too is a public holiday.

That is a lovely arrangement ….thank you so much for taking the time to set it up and allow the rest of to share in it.

I knew I had done the right thing delaying my November nomination:lol:

Best wishes

Did you paint the figures, Chris?  They look great.

I can't take the credit for them… My painting skills are not up to that standard! A very nice lady called Sue Matthews who creates bespoke figures made them for me. I added the standards. She did an amazing job on the figures.

Thank you very much John.  The main event in the UK is on the Sunday before as we don't have the bank holiday, so I posted it yesterday :)

I'm glad it has gone down well and thanks for the nomination.

Sometimes its all about the little wins! After sitting on the floor of the garage and occasionally being knocked into and resources falling off… I've finally put up the shelves I got over two years ago.

Gives me back valuable floor space and makes and hopefully helps me not loose the screwdriver which Peter mentioned in his post!

I see your garage isn't full yet Chris - I can still see some bricks !

I'm told mine does have walls but they're all hidden behind shelves full of "might be useful in the future" type stuff !

Just a bit of fun this time, I manage to catch the BBMF Lancaster as it flew over Teasel Bay today!

Brilliant Chris - love it !!

You've only caught a third of the BBMF - were the Spitfire and Hurricane too fast for your camera ?

Come on then - how did you take that ?   Should I be able to see a thumb hanging onto the port wing tip ?  1:72 scale Lancaster ?

The Spitfire and Hurricane were not operational yesterday unfortunately… The Lancaster is 1:144 sale and was held up by the wing tip for the photo. Maybe next summer Teasel Bay should hold an air show… as part of their events to get tourists back next year!

Great picture. Just need to make space for the end of a runway now and have it (or others) taking off - and if you find a way of doing it please share. I have looked at various systems for having aircraft moving on the airfield and/or in the process of taking off but none really do it.

Sounds great. They managed to do it in miniature worlds in Germany. You could use the faller or Magnorail systems to drag them around, much like the cyclist but they wouldn’t fly!

I think it's about time you changed your user name. You're not a novice anymore.

Cheers Pete.

I have no idea what I'm doing 99% of the time, I just potter around until something looks good! Trial and error at its best!

I think this weekend the remembrance scene and the pumpkin patch will be carefully put away ready for the Christmas lights to make an illustrious return! I did start making a video of the Christmas lights last year but I tried to be too adventurous and ran out of time! Watch this space!
