Early construction of a simple 00 garage layout

Well, I was quite convinced you had added a soundtrack - it sounds great and the timing of the clickety clack is perfect!
The bar looks great - nice detail and a fine paintjob - a very nice blue.  And more lights for Teasel Bay - it will rival Blackpool for its illuminations!  If you have ever read Bill Bryson's book, Tales from a Small Island, you will know his description of Blackpool….. but if not, as an American he was excited to see the famous illuminations, expecting to see lasers and and special effects, only to discover the illuminations were light bulbs!  It was one of the reasons he fell in love with England, the excitement of the incandescent bulb!  Much as I feel when i see TB lit up…

Hints of "Death in Paradise" there Chris ……………………….

I'd be there for the grand openinig , honest I would Guv, except that coming from France, you'd have to shut me in there for 14 days and I don't think you could close up for that long, even if you had enough booze to keep me going ………………………..

It's looking as if you're going to have everything ready for an impressive summer season Chris   :thumbs

Coming from Southport which is just down the road from Blackpool, I can understand that! When the conditions were right I remember seeing the spotlights flash across the sky from my house.  We were due to be heading to Southport at the end of next week and a trip down the illuminations was planned but unfortunately 2020 has decided that we'll have to postpone that until next year!

I like the lights, especially during the darker months of winter!

It’s is funny you mention Blackpool Michael as look what arrived today.

It’s a very small animated neon light for the bar! It is so tiny (about 4cm squared).  I’ll get a video once it’s installed but for the moment I’m keeping it on my desk while I work!

After a few incidents of people being caught by the tide, Teasel Bay council finally decided to add a notice board with months the tide times.

The notice board is a kit from scalemodelscenery.co.uk. I added some glazing which wasn’t part of the kit, but was the packaging it came in!

That is a super little detail - the sort that really adds to the realism - and inspired to add the glazing, it looks all the better for it.  I remember childhood visits by train to the seaside and my dad would always check out the tidal information on similar boards.  No idea why really, he hated the beach!

Just as well you put the glazing in, or the salt spray could have ruined everything. Nice touch that and something I probably wouldn't have thought of.

Cheers Pete.

Is it for a bonfire ?
Not sure of the scale or how it would look but Guy Fawkes Night is the only event I can think of in early  November………..,

Some good guesses but they are way off the mark! I would have been rather surprised if anyone actually got it!
I’m creating a little Remembrance parade to sit around the monument.

That's a brilliant idea Chris.

The "flag staffs" should have given us a clue.

I think it’s very important too. Especially this year when parades are cancelled.

You’ll have to wait until Sunday 8th Nov to see the finished scene!

Do you have any connection with the forces, Chris, or is it simply a sense of gratitude for what they have done and continue to do?  I'm sure you always post a suitable message on Remembrance day.

My Granddads on both sides were in the RAF during the second World War. I was an RAF VR(T) Flying Officer with the Air Cadets for a number of years. I've taken part in a good few parades and think its important for all generations to see the parades.
