Yes… The Newcastle Emlyn station board is next. A 12mm thick sheet of MDF has been purchased and is sitting in the garage ready to go.
Next on the agenda is to print out the Anyrail plan, stick the plan to the MDF and work out where the supports, points, relays and wiring are going to go to avoid clashes.
In between waiting for things to dry on the station board I'll continue with the Henllan hillside. Need to finish it off so that the tape can come off the rails and trains can run again.

I should be working on the job application that I've been working on all day… but all work and no play makes Martin a dull (if unemployed) boy so they say…
I'll be quick…
The Anyrail station plan printed out on multiple A4 sheets and ready to stick together.
The 12mm MDF sheet that the station plan will be built on….
1st row of the plan glued together…
2nd row glued to the first row… oh my aching knees… going to use the towel as a knee pad…
The supervisor has commandeered the towel while she checks up on the assembled station plan…. sigh…
… and one of my sons helping to mark out the baseboard cut lines prior to firing up the circular saw… it's nice when the lads come and play trains.
Steady progress is being made.
cheers

You're making great progress.
You even have the station cat already :doublethumb

In between working on the NE Station base board some more woods have been added. This is the second copse closer to the front of the layout near the bridge.
and a shot of it from a little further south towards Henllan station.
While my son was here I stepped him through the technique… this is Phill's wood on top of the hillside on the right. He's a dab hand at it and really enjoyed making it.
Back to working on the station board in the next couple of days… hopefully get some done tomorrow.

Baseboard shape cut out, 30mm deep strips of 12mm MDF (left over from the sheet used for the base board) cut and ready to be applied as support beams. Circular saw in place to split the base board to match the joining point between two parts of the L-girder frame work.
Bracing glued with liquid nails and clamped up while drying…
… and temporarily in place while the vertical supports are levelled and fixed in place. Some place holding buildings plonked on to help give an idea of what is going to go where.
Unfortunately, the distance between the stations at Henllan and Newcastle Emlyn is too short to allow prototypical signalling and absolute block control as it should be but I'll work that out as I go along.

Yes mate, turntable on the left where the plastic lid is.
Here's the station layout plan again for reference.

The view break hill between the mill and Henllan has a waterfall on the mill side.
and the idea has always been to have a spring at the top of the hill and a stream feeding the falls. Over the last week or so this has slowly taken shape with reeds and longer static grass around the spring and sand, rocks and PVA water in the stream.
From the west side…
From the north east above the fields…
… and from the east above the waterfall…
In the meantime the supports for the NE Station baseboards are complete and they'll be up next… just waiting for the glue to dry before I move them.
cheers

Plenty more to do with the scene yet mate… I can see plenty of scope for improvement.
Your kind words are much appreciated though
