This is how I want the water around the tug in the deeper parts to look.
It's very different from what you're doing, but equally challenging I think.
It's taken with my iPhone, but you get the idea.
I might start a thread about it. You can have yours back now.

The original "white water" painted onto the first layer of varnish was now about 8 layers of varnish and one layer of Glass coat down and was quite subdued. Another dry brushing of warm white acrylic was added followed by a final layer of varnish.
A couple more additions of scatter to represent moss on the rocks and then the trees I'd made earlier in the week were added.
From the road bridge near the mill the waterfall hillside looks like this….
A little bit closer…
and from the upper rail bridge….
Reckon that'll do!
Later on, when it's time to detail the layout there will be a railing on the side of the path up the hill and some tourists enjoying falls.
But for now…. it's back to soldering relays.
cheers

some tourists enjoying falls.
That's why you need the railings; hope they didn't hurt themselves, or were they Bungee jumping?

I must admit that I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
Yes Stuart and Reg, The plan is to have the water gushing out of the pipe in the picture above and there is a brook that joins up with the river.
As I fill it up I'll record the adventure… It's a bit tight in there but I'm hoping that as I fill the river the Glass coat will back fill the brook.

And a close up of the wiring under the double slip.
…and after an afternoon in Bodgit and Scarpers workshop the beginnings of the Llandyfriog Junction lever frame and mimic panel board.
Mostly over the flu thank goodness… Back to work tomorrow.

Llandyfriog Junction Signal Box diagram… drawn in Microsoft powerpoint and based on the box diagrams from Adrian Vaughan's "The Heart of the Great Western" book.
24 lever frame … no spares… and that's without facing point locks (which I refuse to even contemplate in N gauge), there should be 3 on this layout…. and I'm assuming that all signals are within the signalman's range of vision except the distants and as they don't bring loco's to a halt they don't need track circuiting or detection.
11, 12 and 13 are isolating switches (DC wiring) to allow an engine to be brought to a stand and isolated while another is used.
Need to add a cab control switch but I've forgotten the name of the Cabs, Dia and Tommy I think, can sort that out next week.
LED's will be set into the diagram to indicate direction of point throw… hopefully start that over the weekend… inclement forecast has postponed this weekends camper trailer trip (the chance of thunderstorms and still recovering from the flu)… so it's working on the railway instead.
How sad
cheers

I just wanted to add my two bits to the chorus of approval that you so rightly received for the waterfall scene last week.
It's absolutely stunning…….getting static imitation water to look as though it's moving is actually amazingly difficult……you make it look easy….brilliant modelling
Kind regards
John
