I'm not saying it couldn't be done. I suspect it could but it wouldn't be my preference just because of the potential for damaging or weakening the plastic throw bar.
You could replace the throw bar with something stronger but that's another whole level of micro engineering or hand laying that Bodgit and Scarper aren't ready to embrace yet!

You don`t want to be toying with the tie bar.
Better to get the hardware underneath sorted out or adapted to suit.
Your dealing with micro measurements there unfortunately so I wish you luck.

Both motors have had a tiny drop of lubricating oil on the actuator bar and onto the pivot screw and washers to facilitate movement.
Now onto running the bus wires…

He's certainly going to have to take responsibility for showing the way, there is no way that this would have been attempted without his (and others) posts and videos.
:cheers Gormo…
…and I've got the cricket to listen to later on… Not sure if that's a good thing though.

Cheers Ron, I haven't (quite) given up on the cricket yet.
Hi Owen, something I picked up for the forum a long time ago, Jeff mentioned it I think, all of my point motors get a drop of oil on them when they go in, makes a difference to their operation and longevity.
You lot, like me, must be a little weary of soldering and point motors too, so I've weathered up a 37/0 class, given her a test run on the layout and snapped some ID shots for the records.
37254 in BR Blue is here coming out of the tunnel that pierces the scenic break between the layout and the cassette yard. The bridge crosses the Afon Teifi near Pentrecourt Halt.
… and a little further down the line we catch up with her crossing the farmer's occupation bridge just before the halt itself.
Right… back to soldering droppers on Llandyfroig Junction…

That bit of the railway is near the layout room door and presents a "completed" view to me, visitors and Tracy when the door is open. It's nice to look at when I'm soldering wire 145 of the day!
Still bits and pieces to do in that section but it's detailing that can happen later on.
Steady progress is being made on the wiring on the Llandyfroig Junction plank in the evenings after work.
The first of the relays is in and has been tested and declared operational as far as frog switching goes.
A big shout out to those that have gone before and shown the way here on this forum and elsewhere, this is the first point on the layout that has ever been modified for frog switching and it's something that would never have been attempted without your help.
The relay has 4 poles,
One for the frog polarity switching,
One for control panel LEDs
One to interlock straight line signals and
One to interlock deviating line signals
Only frog polarity is connected at the moment, the rest will follow in due course..
This long view shows the state of play after last nights efforts.
On the right is the soon to be demolished Teifi Sidings that will be replaced by the Junction plank.
Cheers
