We hired another little truck to move the layout and leftover bits and pieces that didn't fit in the first truck. The Tiguan and trailer continued up and down the highway a further 4 times after this, mainly carting workshop and garden items.

This is the right hand end. Llandyfriog junction is the lower level and the upper level will one day be the Newcastle Emlyn station.

This is the left hand end with Henllan, the hill and my younger son commencing surgery in the Altycefan Mill valley to allow the boards to separate. It isn't pretty but it had to be done.

Each part of the layout had to fit through this door!!! It was designed to do so and in the end, with much "up your end a little" and "we are going to have to roll it on it's side", it did.

Once we had it out into the room the legs were removed.
It's good to get the sons working on the railroad! We had a lot of fun.

I've been on sand dunes just like that… and yes… it is often as hot as it looks.

When I did the landscaping for the Altycefan Mill site I got carried away and didn't allow for a gap in the landscaping at the baseboard join. Muppet.
I gave number 2 son the task of making the gap prior to separating the baseboards. The Mill managers house has been removed already and securely stored (I'll never find it again).
Scapel in hand, Phill was completely confident he know what he was doing.

Oops… I forgot to give him the grooved block of wood that prevents the razor saw from tearing the rails out of the plastic sleepers!!!
Not a biggie as the track join across the gap is going to have to be re-engineered one way or another as the boards go back together anyway.
Cut made…. a bit of negotiating required around the buildings and retaining wall.

Heave ho… well, a lot of gentle pressure applied.
Apart it comes… I didn't look too closely.

This view gives an idea of how the layout is constructed.

The last set of curtains are waiting for me to hang…. then I need to go and cut another barrowload of firewood for the winter is coming and it is starting to get cool at nights.
Onwards and upwards.
All the best to you all.

Bon courage mon ami,
Bill
At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

There is a pile of bolts, wing nuts and washers, in two different sizes, on my desk. They keep getting brushed aside and fall to the floor.
I must get around to putting them in a container… at least they aren't irreplaceable.
