Thanks Claus, I wasn’t looking forward to the wiring but it wasn’t too hard. It took about 3 hrs.

Short running session to test the points and make sure everything is working properly. Excuse the poor video editing.

Apparently the 50 second video is too big a file.

Smaller file size.
Ahh well I give up, apparently the maximum file size is 20 mb. My last upload was 15 mb but it’s not displaying.

You need to upload your video to a hosting site like YouTube Gray, and then post a link.

Unfortunately you can't upload videos directly to YMRC.

Thanks Ed, everything is working as it should be. Can even do a bit of shunting on there.

That's a lovely little 'quart in a pint pot' table top layout Grayham. It shows just what you CAN do in a small space. It's  busy, but not TOO busy and definitely gives the impression  of a crowded, grimey industrial, Mill area.  I could see it out on the exibition circuit no problem :thumbs3:

P.S. love the Fred Dibna Diorama. What's next up on the work bench ?

Cheers

Matt

Wasnie me, a big boy did it and ran away

Hi Matt thanks. Ye I’ve crammed a lot in there , I’m limited for space so it lives on top of the wardrobe. I’ve got some tankers and wagons for the industries and a few vehicles. Scammel scarab parcel vans etc. and a yelloways coach which were local to me and also a slumberland beds van (slumberland beds used to be made in Oldham where I’m from).
The Fred dibnah model turned out well, don’t think I’ll be doing anything new I’ve got too many now. I’m going to concentrate on the 2 railways, still got a bit of refining to do on each one yet.

Hi Gray,

What's the radius/code of the track?

Hi Nigel. It’s Peco track I think it’s code 80, I think it’s radius 1 and the points are insulfrog so I can isolate the sidings. It’s DC.
I can run a Lima class 31 round and a farish class 25 pulling coaches no problem. I’ve had a shunter pulling 11 wagons round.

The track came in a graham farish set but there was only an oval of track. I bought a job lot of extra track including 5 points 10 long straights, 6 short straights, 6 small curves for about £30 on eBay.

Thanks. I have no idea what radius 1 is apart from the ability to stack with radii 2,3,4. I just looked it up. Its radius is 1371 mm / 14.625" Most of my diesel locomotives would derail with that - a minimum radius of 22". is recommended, otherwise, it's some serious body hacking.

If you make a circle with 8 pieces it gives you an 18 inch circle. But I’ve added some straights and points in to give me a track of about 800x500.
