Off at a tangent once more.
No problem Pete,What a bu@@er. Complete my ar@£. Still, not quite so bad if you can rescue it. I'm afraid that is beyond my capability but I'll look forward to seeing how you get on.

I started back on Highbridge by fitting the 3mm Ply for the low level walls.
You can see them along the left hand side where the embankment will eventually go.
Below, you can see where I have left a space for a signal box to be built in. The main siding used to run right through as part of a branch line before being closed and uplifted. the signal box aint been taken away yet. that is my story anyway.
another shot but this time another couple of wall sections been added between the main goods delivery siding and the storage sidings.
and again but from another angle
below , the abutments going in for the first of the two bridges.
another view.
another
and we're in
all the clutter
without the clutter,
another
and another
and its bo bo time,
that's it for the moment. I may get another couple of hours later.
cheers

Just think of the shinies you'll be able to get for it tomorrow
Just rendering a video of the magnets, and installation, they work a treat with both Kadee and Ez-mates.
Stuck them to a card base.
I will post the link both here and on the Victoria Road thread.
See you in the morning.

Glad you like it. Still got the double lane bridge to go yet. Won't get much time now this weekend as I am at the Dundee show tomorrow. Probably be next weekend now.
However, that fine as I see Paul has the magnet issue sorted. Just in time as once I get the double bridge in, I'll proceed with my magnets which will give me surety for commencing the ballasting etc.
I need a little tweaking of the embankment side abutment just to adjust the flap for the bridge as it's too tight as it currently is. I've still got brick paper / card to get in there yet so I need to allow another couple of mm.
I'll look forward to the video Paul. Matt has confirmed he is picking me up at 8 ( ish ). So we'll probably be there abouts for the back of nine.
Matt,
Paul's got the rolls and the coffee sorted for brekkie. Result or what
See you chaps tomorrow.
Cheers

Oh and for those holding thier breath for Toto to resist the shinies…….
That 57 never got put back on the table….
And the Clayton has found a new home …. Dunno if Toto is getting allowed back home.
He did get some scatter materials, rock moulds but I'll let him fill in the details he's allowed to own up to
Matt and I were far more restrained

A class 57 in direct Rail Services and a Clayton in Ribble Cement livery. Some scenic scatters, rock moulds, lichen and some drills, cutting discs and bits and bobs.
I wasn't the only one to secombe though ……… Was I ? I ain't telling though. Come on guys ……… Own up.
The layouts were not bad. Once again, not a lot of trains running on some, a few on others and absolutely nothing on others.
Some good quality scenics and one or two layouts that were a bit tatty and could do with a bit TLC. No photos from me as I waltzed off without the camera.
A good day spent on Victoria Toad trying out Paul's magnetic uncoupling which works flawlessly. Also played around with his Bachmann 24 with sound. Very impressive.
That's all for now but I'll be back on later to see if the other two troublemakers show their hand.
Cheers

Oh and some sore ribs laughing at Toto trying to resist the "shinies".
Matt even thought he may have to get a tow bar for his Missuses car to take Toto's shopping back
Good banter, a lot of laughs and pick up a few bargins, what more could you ask for

Thanks again Paul for the brekkie and thank Morag for test driving the kettle.
These loco's you bought would be the doggies if fitted with sound ……. And lights. You'll need to get working on that. Highlight of the day though was playing with the uncouplers. I can see shunting being a particular pastime of mine ………….. Leaving all other train movements to some other sucker.
Next weekend, it's definitely magnet time on Highbridge. Let's me get them tested and hopefully they will be as reliable as your own. Well impressed. Once I've played them to death I'll can get on with the other bridge and then it's walls and ballasting etc. all the interesting stuff is starting. May even take my rock moulds for a test drive.
Cheers for now,
Toto.
