Is it a re-designed ventilation-cover for one of those "coughcoughchokechoke" Diesels, that were designed, specifically, to keep Foreigners(usually British) awake, all-night, as they travelled up and down Feather River Canyon in N. California. Pray tell, Wayne, that is Not what it is for,
Marty, Everyone up north have seen only pictures of everything I've built. With the bad economy no one has traveled down here to see the actual models, and I'm not about to haul them up there. My luck I'd damage something.
There have been a few guesses on the puzzle picture but no one is even close yet. When I get back from golf today I will post another picture that just may give enough of a clue to figure it out.
Is it something to do with animals/cattle and a trackside feature. At the back of my mind I think I've seen something along those lines. (Sorry :roll::roll:)
Steps ? At least half of some steps………….:roll::roll::roll:
You cut it on the apex and you have the two sides - just the treads to add.
Congratulations Petermac, you hit the nail on the head! Steps it is.
I was trying to figure out how to make steps so that the treads would be parallel and came up with this idea. Once I had it all laid out my wife walked by and said, "What in the world are you building", and when I actually sat back and looked at it, well it just didn't look anything like steps. (She said that too, and then promptly walked away)
So I thought that it would make a nice puzzle for all of you out there to try and figure out.
Here are the steps leaning against my new Signal Box, that is still in process.
Hi Wayne I have just been playing catch up on your layout and really enjoyed the piece on the tunnel, which looks excellent and so unusual to see a tunnel built with the track on two levels. As always your work is so neat and well thought through. Now you are constructing a really magnificent signal box. Those steps are very very good as they are really hard to get right and your method of approach is quite brilliant.
