Yes. I started out on Photobucket. When I got to a certain level, they wanted me to pay.It was about that time that Bob bought the Gallery, so I changed over.
I still can't find the guidelines. Still looking.

Your insurance agent looks the spitting image of Winston Churchill from where I'm sitting.
The "porter" is absolutely spot on. I wonder how you knew about him ? In the days of churn collections, there was a guy at the dairy who took the lid off every churn as it came off the lorry and sniffed the milk before forwarding said churn into the dairy for sampling, measuring and processing.
The guy was probably the milk equivalent of a tea taster. He could smell something untoward from a mile away. It was sometimes a problem in the summer when the churns could have spent 2 hours or more on the collection lorry in full sun. 10 gallons of "off milk" in their main holding tank could ruin a whole day's supply.
As I have a vested interest in this build, I'm following it closely. To date, it's looking well up to your usual standards. :thumbs:thumbs

I see what you mean about the brightness Phil
Here is a before and after with after being my attempt using Elements……which I guess is what I should have done in the first place although after seems to have got uncropped:roll::oops:
As long as I am not boring folk I will continue plugging away……I do appreciate the comments and advice
Regarding image size I have always stored my images in the forum gallery. So I resize them to meet the gallery requirements although I find they dont object if I resize to 1024 x 846 rather than 800x600……I think you told me this was ok Max?
Best wishes and thanks again for the feed back

Thank you so much for that insight Peter…….I was sheer happenchance. I have done some research into how the milk got to and from rail served dairies but know very little about what went on inside. I doubt if I am going to be quite so lucky twice so I suspect the chimneys and vents I have just painstakingly inserted into the now completed roof will be totally unrealisticThe "porter" is absolutely spot on. I'm only relying on my ageing memory regarding the sizing. The Gallery has a kind of self protect built in for oversize uploads.
I'm pretty sure the recommended size is/was 800 x 600, but there is a bit of lee way. If 1024 x 800 gets through, that's good.
Try the biggest size you can get away with, I say.
On another matter . . .
Phil, would you be prepared to collect your instructions for using focus stacking into a thread?
I'd like to give it a go from start to finish. Ta

You may know that I have an UltraBB forum, and I host my photos on there - so I do the same here.
My Gallery is built on the same coding as this one. There are considerable losses during uploads. Sometimes I'm distressed to see a beautiful clear photo once it's been uploaded.
Photobucket would definitely be a better choice.
