An Edwardian GWR project in OO

Good evening everyone,

Thanks for the kind messages of support. Indeed it is time to move on and that is what I intend to do over the coming months, I now have a designated room for modelling and hope to spend many hours in there later either completing ongoing tasks or starting new ones, I do have a huge number of rolling stock kits to build so there is plenty to keep me busy,

I will be looking forward to starting on the Junction in the future as I have copies of the drawings for the station from 1892 or thereabouts and in my opinion was much better looking than the later replacement, but there is still a lot more to do until then.
Thanks for the comments about realism as that is something I try hard to do when it is viewed through the lens, afterall that is how most people will see it on forums or hopefully in a magazine. Many items or parts get binned and remade which is why it probably takes so long to complete, I just hope I have a long and happy life to get it finished.

The willow is one of those things that was started, scrapped, a new idea thought of and then started again until I had something I was happy with, I can still think of things I could have done better but wth that particular item time is all consuming. I will sort a few old photos out and take a couple of others to ry and document its build so others can have a go if they wish, if you have a lot of time and patience.

I love Autumn which is why I chose that particular time of year and is just a little different from the usual summer scenes, I also like to see the shape of the trees and not hidden by the mass of green foliage, again spending quite a few hours getting the shape right it doesn't feel right to hide it away. I'm not sure how I get the colours right as I am colour blind but I seem to have learnt how to achieve the right look, but I do start with a known colour and adjust from there.

Thanks again for the comments and will be back later once I have sorted a few things out, it feels good to have made this first move back into posting.

Jim, I can hardly believe how the time has passed since I last responded to your postings and to hear what has happened in the meantime is truly upsetting and I can only offer my heartfelt condolences.
I've just gone back and looked at all your pages and this truly is a wonderful layout plus your perseverance during this time is quite remarkable.   I am really looking forward to your updates and know it will just be getting better and better as time goes on.
With my very best wishes,
Ken.
