It's 7mm Phil and the stonework is Wills SSMP 200 and though destined for the 4mm market it looks better in 7.

That's what I use for stone buildings Allan, but it looks as you say, better in 7mm…finer.

I just use the "Make a model from a real picture" plugin from Photoshop :lol:

Actually, the ballast in the closeup picture is way over scale as this section was done about twenty six years ago!

This is a breathtakingly real-looking model railway.
