Phil, not only a great modeller, a great muso too !!! just LOVED the track !

I specialise in playing the Shads - Apache, Wonderful Land, F.B.I, inm fact, all their early stuff and hopefuly of interest to you, I  use their backing tracks and play a 'Sunburst' Fender Strat with a 12 top E , third 18 wound and a 56 bottom !! through an Alesis Quadraverb 2 and Nobels foot peddle ( once owned by the late Jet Harris ) and at the punch of a buttom I can get the exact and original sound of every Shad number as produced in the recording studios - no more twiddling knobs, patching together snapped Watkins Copycat tapes between numbers and hoping for the best ! Also once bought Hanks used Vox AC 30  valve amp but when I got it home it was fried !! but now I use a Bose amp with built in 'mixer' - amazing bit of kit - and will bring the house down even on half vol !

Anyway, here's a pic of the Kat in action taken by Chris Nevard when the Model Rail editorial team came up to do some stuff on me - models that is !

Cheers.

Hi Allan,

I use my old 63 Strat, TVS3 and VoxAC30H2.

I'm not  trying to sell you anything but here's a link to my BT's, recorded to sound as close to the old Shads studio 2 recordings as possible, which include noises, squeaks, mic sound spill etc etc, too much Karaoke stuff out there:???:

Try out the demo links.

Oops, there was an error! | Hank Marvin - SOUND & TECHNICAL

Phil.

PS. Gotta leave the music for a while and get back to modelling ;-)

Hello PHIL, nice to see you modelling again. Looks like space on top of the tunnel is a bit tight with that sloping roof? Maybe just a hillside climbing up to meet the ceiling and some trees?

Looking forward to it.

Happy New Year Phil:cheers  Glad to hear you are back into modelling.

I agree with Marty regarding a hillside…….the shot above looks a perfect solution

How will you disguise the boom box?

Best Wishes from Vancouver

Amazing stuff Phil, just loved it . We're just gonna have to form a band ! (I want 75%….)

BTW, have you ever heard of Peter Leyland aka Gravy Train who is one brillant modeller and you can see his work over on RMweb under the Structures And Scenery section who was/still is  a session musician who is a truly a magnificent guitarist and a really great bloke.

Anyway, here's a link. Hope it works.

Cheers.

It doesn't work in Bb either, but if I copy it and paste it in Google….it opens your post above in this thread :???:

I've started the tunnel mouth, but sods law…not enough Wills stone sheets to make the side support walls

I will have to get some more when the shops open on Saturday.

Here's the new tunnel mouth dropped into place, the ground above the tunnel will need lifting.

There's an area to the right of the houses…not sure what to put here :???:

A very interesting interlude Phil and Allan!   Hope you won't mind me jumping in too but I'm a professional Modern Jazz Vibes player and although it's probably not your kind of stuff you might like to listen to this Youtube track of mine which features one of the UK's top jazz guitarist's Mick Hanson:-

Nice track Ken ;-)

Back to modelling :) …a chapel might work in that area, not too big as to obscure the view of the tunnel mouth!

Hi Phil

Tunnel Mouth looks great……….my bid for the space would be either some Allotments with garden sheds etc or wasteland with some lock up garages…….although I think you did that earlier?

Cheers

Thanks John,

Yes, maybe keep it simple, some waist ground, a field etc with horses or sheep maybe?
