The problem with using a rubber is, it’s difficult to clean all the track without one’s hand knocking over scenery.

Interesting Matt.
Is your track N/S or steel ? I once tried with graphite but had little success. Maybe I either used too much or not enough. I remember being somewhat disappointed because I'd read great things about it and it didn't come cheap !! Bear in mind half of me is Yorkshire and the other half is Scottish so anything over 10p is a total rip-off !!!

It's N S Peter, and I'm still on that first block years later ! It's high in graphite content..so low in chalk ? I don't go mad, just gentle pressure and run it probably twice ? Round on each track ? For me it seams to work ! Before I started using it I had to constantly clean the track, now that only happens occasionally and I think it's more to remove crud deposited by wheels than anything else.
Wasnie me, a big boy did it and ran away

The backscenes really add to the scene, framing the highly detailed cameo. I am so jealous that Yarslow is set in countryside flatter than a billiard table and hence, there is no background!!

That's great Phil - your son is obviously a keyboard warrior.
Clever stuff indeed although at the rate he's slipping, that Prairie will soon need new tyres.
