Brilliant Phil.  You do a fantastic job integrating the ID back scenes……every time I look at your layout I regret not using them on Granby

I don't think they do an industrial type suitable for your layout John?

I can confirm that Phil - I've been looking for something "industrial" for ages and haven't found anything suitable anywhere.

As usual, great scenery and stock weathering. The tin bath hanging up brings back some memories.

Cheers Pete.

I'm surprised you need more motivation Phil - I'd have thought  shots like these were motivation enough.

Absolutely brilliant.  :thumbs

I may have asked before but is the track hand built ?  It looks great.

Thanks Peter.

These days I need motivation, I've cut back with work with my day job which gives me more time but I also spend a lot of hours recording in my studio!

The track is SMP phosphor bronze, the points are hand built.

Painted with the base stuck to a cork, then removed, base cut off and then just sitting on the cork.

The museum catalogue listing for this item should read: Man on cork; reading; sensational.

Thanks Phil, much appreciated.

Best,

Bill

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

Thanks Bill, I think the O gauge figures are the best as they are much cleaner, the OO tend to have printing layers and other markings, re: check out the guys face, but some are a lot better than others.

Well I would have said brilliant Phil but I see it's not today's newspaper he's reading so old hat my friend, old hat !!

That is quite something Phil - did you add the newspaper as part of the "mods" you mentioned or does he come with it ?   They're great figures - when I start populating my layout, I'll have to see how easy they are to paint ………..

A problem could be b####y Brexit which is really starting to cause me huge headaches !!

I think, being a 40's to 60's layout, todays paper would be a little out of date Peter  :mutley

The mod was just the newspaper, copied from an original and printed out at around 4mm width, cut out and stuck on the original plastic one, the hand held parts also need cutting out.

Me too Peter, not helped by Hattons being reluctant to refund VAT paid when items go into your trunk, when requested to do so when calling them off for delivery abroad, when usually now, I get clobbered again for TVA and other Brexit based charges!

Fortunately, I've not found a reliable French supplier for Zimo decoders with stock.

Best and with apologies to Phil for slight topic drift,

Bill

Pen-y-Bryn Station, some Photoshop editing to the grass area past the signal box as this area is unmodelled.
