Thanks Matt, nearly forty years ago  To be honest, I sometimes think, did I do that? I don't think I would attempt it today!

Good grief !!

That's set the bar a tad too high for humans Phil.  Can you remember how many hours went into that ?

Even the materials look authentic - none of your plastic substitutes in there - real coachbuilder stuff.   :pathead :pathead :pathead

Thanks Peter.
The coach was built when I worked as a painter at Oakdale Colliery, it was put together in the paint shop, an hour here and an hour there, so, no time logged down :)

All material was found around the colliery and cut and filed to shape, I can't remember where I bought the plans but it wasn't on the Internet! I think I still have them somewhere.

The interior was from some old velvet curtains, of course, this wouldn't have been used at the time, probably leather?

How did I miss that stage coach   What a beauty that is. As for the long shot; you've blended the back scene in superbly.

Cheers Pete.

Hi Phil C.     Excellent photo. And I am certain that if anyone that didn’t know saw the photo wouldn’t believe that it was a model.   Best wishes Kevin

You've produced some excellent photos Phil but this must surely be one of the best.  As has been said, totally flawless transition from front to rear and an excellent backscene which matches perfectly.  It really is very hard to tell it's a model.  :thumbs   Is it your own photo or a bought-in one ?  (the backscene I mean ……)

Thanks Roger & Peter.

The backscene is from ID backscenes.

Brilliant Phil.  You do a fantastic job integrating the ID back scenes……every time I look at your layout I regret not using them on Granby
I rather like the weathering on the Prairie.

Best wishes

And the track looks absolutely spot on - is there a particular colour Phil or is it a home brew ?

Thanks John, actually the loco weathering was done about thirty years ago

Thanks Peter, the good thing about Phosphor Bronze is it weathers itself :)

Here's another new long shot of the colliery with workers sorting out the good and bad Dowty & Dobson hydraulic props.
