I wouln't know about that Phil - look how long it's taken me to fit 4 Tortoise motors !!! If I were you, I'd keep travelling - I just wonder where you're finding such wonderful scenes nowadays - a little Welsh secret hideaway eh ……………………..

Too true Pete - in fact, I wish any parts of my layout were fit to be seen !!!I wish the parts of my layout that are meant to be seen were half as good as that.
You're on my "blocked" list Phil until you post something remotely possible for me …………………

It's not the photoshopping that gets to me, it's the fact that the raw material fed into the software is so good.
They always say you can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear - even PS can't do that - but you're starting with top quality silk !!
When you built the layout, did you build it with "model railway" in mind or with "photo opportunity" in mind ?
I think it probably makes a difference although I do know you earn your crust by creating beautiful works of art in miniature.
I suspect with me, it will be a case of "get it up and running" then try to create a presentable scene around it. Not sure because I didn't get that far with the first incarnation of Maxmill.

It was built with both model railway and photo opportunity as to me they're the same, I just found a good track plan and built the cameos around it, nothing really planned, but if the scene looks good and works then it will be good to photograph.

Stunning Phil !!
Love the way you've blended the photo backscene into the trees/hedges and that road/track in front of the houses - so realistic.

When I posted this on Facebook I had a reply saying, "This is very strange as I notice smoke on the B&W shot that isn't on the colour one"

I notice in the black and white one, the sky has turned more "Welsh" too Phil - the blue has gone ………………..
Superb shot - as ever. :thumbs Those trees and the backscene with the sun catching the white house above the water tank are so realistic.
