Hi Phil

It might be worth sending a PM to Sol.

He's an NCE zealot.
Interesting - my mate who had a Powercab - I dunno if he ever sent away his registration card & I thought nothing about it when he sold  it me for a few $. But then the new features by the chip - doesn't concern me anyway …

I started with PowerPro & sent the card away but heard nothing back.

Outside of that- I do like the ivy on the wall  :thumbs

My experience also is that nothing comes of sending cards, etc off, that's when I was surprised when I actually got something for nothing! I doubt if the upgrade is good for me though…thanks for the ivy comment  :)

Mine's not even totally built, I can't seem to find the time to run anything, the thought  of cleaning the track is bad enough!
Glue the loco's and stock down to the tracks and you won't have to Phil.

Wills Stone sheets are great for bridges etc, but some of the stone blocks are over scale for things like station buildings, here's a mod to correct this, the circled area.

Excellent, Phil, but I refuse to get involved !

As expected at your hands, one can't detect any mods, it's as if that's the way it comes. There's still hope for Pen-Y-Bryn yet !

Yes, it's a shame, in fact my next building will be the same size as the sheets and with a flat roof and no windows…and no paint.  :Happy

Beautiful.

You need imagination to build layouts like that Phil and you've got it in spades.

A pure work of art.

Thanks Allan, you know, most of it is from nostalgic memories, as I used to work in a colliery adjacent to my house, which was  originally the colliery managers house.

I was a hydraulic prop repairer, right in the middle of the colliery in a shop between the headgears, I was later a painter/decorator/signwriter in the paint shop up the yard.

My work took me to all parts of the colliery and sometimes underground…so I have first hand information one could say

That layout would be a sight to see in the flesh, Phil.

So much going on; and beautifully done.   :thumbs
