In all seriousness, you should be able to tell what went where by opening up the posts in the editor and looking at the image embed tags to see what the filename was

Not to match yours Allan, that's for sure:mutley
On a less important matter…I have just bought some new monitor speakers for my studio, they are smaller than the ones they are replacing and stand horizontal and about ten inches lower, meaning that I will me able to see my sidings/fiddle yard, I've not posted any pictures of this area and no modelling work has been done here so this opens up another scenic area.

I also need to get a station built, I've been saying that for nearly thirty years, just two platforms, I was given a link to a GWR buildings book some time ago…can't remember the name but as far as I know, well out of publication, I'm still away in the sun and with plenty of time on my hands to think about all of this!

But if the pictures are in another file…the file name would be different, or maybe just the link is different?
Phil

"EDIT" Ok, I've selected a post with a blank picture, if I click on the picture it takes me to a blank picture in Photobucket.

If I click on the post's "Edit" that doesn't help either as there's just a box with "Choose file" and my lost picture details are not there?

Try a right click on the missing image in the post Phil and select 'Image info'. May give some or all of the path and filename.

I'll have to do that when I get home Ed as I'm using an IPad with no right click.

Seems to work in Firefox if you then just move the mouse pointer over the highlighted path.

I think all that does Ed is give the link and the folder that the picture was previously in?

Think that book might be GWR Branch Line Termini Vols 1 & 2 by Paul Karau,  Phil. I have a copy but you can't have it, so neh !

Seriously though mate, if you want to borrow it then let me know by PM, with your address, and I'll get it off to you.

Allan.

I don't remember if that's the same book Allan, has it got some buildings plans/drawings as well as pictures?
Amazon still sell used ones for just under £50!

I think there's a link that someone posted in Pen y Bryn, I will have to find it to see if it's your book, thanks very much for the offer of a loan, are the buildings pictures etc in it good for producing models, as if I can find the right ones I can just do a scan and return it.

Ed, I think the file name at the end "Forum" etc, is where it was moved from as it was moved from a Forum folder to a Pen y Bryn one.
I think once a picture is moved in PB it loses any record of what it used to be?

It sounds like the same book Phil - photo's scale drawings etc and yes, they are very accurate as I've built every structure in the book several times over !

Tell you what I have got here Phil and that's a 4mm model of Fairford station that just needs a couple of chimneys and you can have it for nowt. It's built out of Wills stone so it should suit your scheme of things. Look up Fairford station on Google and see what you think.

Thanks Allan that's very kind of you, I've Googled it, I don't know if I'm looking for something a bit more involved, as the pictures I've seen show a basic building, if I build something, could yours be used as a waiting room etc?
I'll PM you when I get home regarding your book if that's ok?

Thanks Ed!

Allan, there's three books apparently, do you know which would be the one I need, in other words, are some better than others?

The old, now-broken address that's in the post should still have the filename (i.e. suchandsuch dot jpg) on the very end, so all you'd need to do is find which folder that file is in now.
