Have you thought of changing your crew Sol ?  Most shop floors have a load of awkward buggers around - that's where strong management comes into play - sack 'em - no pension, no more subsidised lunches, no more paid holidays, no more sick pay etc. etc. etc ………………………..  Within 2 OP sessions they'll be queuing up at your train shed door begging for their jobs back ……………..

Hi All,

A few recent photos from an Operating Session on the D&S when I was the driver at Tawnton West

Nice to see the D & S again.

What make are the point motors - are they Peco with painted coil housings or some other make.  They do look better than the 'as delivered' Peco version with brown plastic bodies ………………..

Can't remember if Sol said but is access to the high level via helix or a long incline ?

Petermac, those above pointy motors are Peco with painted housings
Access to high levels are via inclines

Claus, yes "fun" is the operative word- at times as Connor can atest too, the occasional foul up

In the current process of having new timetables, etc created

Thanks Sol.  They do look much better painted - could almost be the real thing and, as getting under the baseboards is almost impossible for me now, one possible way forward for Maxmill 3 I think.

one of my local mates has taken to using   MP4 Switch Motor - Model Railroad Control Systems    instead of Tortoise/Cobalts - they appear to be almost perfect

The trip to the nursery must have cost you a few dollars!

Actually quite cheap  - 30  trees for under $45   and getting 100 for $24 - all via Ebay

It would take me a lot longer to make that many & to look just as good. I do accept I am incompetent in some aspects of this hobby & making trees is one of them. :notworthy:
