Solder a code 100 metal fishplate to code 100 rail for 50% of the fishplate length, flatten the other 50% & solder the code 75/83 rail to this flattened piece of fishplate ( with the inside edges of both code 75 & 100 in alignment.)
A  file just to touch the top surface up.

There is planned to do some "drastic" track changes

this is basic as of now

planned & with signals & interlocking, crashes at the diamonds should be few & far…(hopefully)

as I have a NMRA meeting at my place May 11, after that is when I start the track changes ( existing scenery removal can start now… )

That’s a serious addition of running line Sol! Looking forward to watching the track crew at work.

After having some serious e-mail discussions with a couple of the crew, while there will be some changes, not quite as drastic as I initially thought/planned

As I have turnouts interlocked currently between Devan & Bruton     Jns, I can interlock the turnouts at XXXX      & YYYY,      star to star

so while the purple track gets used for two different routes , this means a lot less work than having so many diamonds and 3     tracks across the liftup which I must admit I was not sure how to do it without completly ruining  Devan Junction .

and this is Devan Junction and it would have been a real pain to follow the initial thoughts keeping some trackage in situ, before the crew out their ideas forward .

It must be great to have such a democratic operation Ron. I wish I had someone to suggest a contra view when I embark on some of my less realistic improvements!
Good luck with version II
