as they are for Powercab, I can only assume the wattage is a lot lower than 18W and reading between the lines, they are 10W or close to it keeping the max current down to 1A, not the 1.5A the 18W would use.

Thanks Sol,12EW festoon
From the lamp specs on the NCE site, the spare globes are 12.8V, 0.97A so that makes it 12.4W, 13.2 Ohm.
The challenge now is finding suitable lamps and lamp holders locally. I had to cobble together a festoon holder made from an old UK fused plug for the work so far.
Would 3 * 12V, 0.3A bulbs in series work? The Bulbs and holders for these are ready available

Yes, I realised my error after posting. "Think twice, post once", to rephrase the old saying

In the background, there are some bauxite coloured steel wagons high up - how many levels does the D & S have or are those on a shelf ? I didn't realise the D&S was multi-level …………………

Very good to see your latest.
One whole lot of stock you've got there, are you sure they're not breeding at night when you turn the lights out?

Locos sitting in the MPD = 7
Locos in stations & on trains = 18
3 rail cars - one single , one 2 car & one 3 car
10 mainline coaches for two trains
wagons 141 (with approx 30 underneath in storage not used.)
with 3 crew operate sessions, there are 14 train movements and on the normal 5 man crew 17 train movements - more shunting then.

Looks like some tight access points, particularly Durston under Charde ……………………
It's surprising just how much added interest there is with multi-level operations. Any idea what your steepest gradients are ?
