I wasn't so much thinking of wagon numbers, like you my eyes aren't up to that sort of squinting.
My daughter bought me a magnifying visor for Christmas and it's pretty near welded to my head these days!

I got the clear paper from crafty and am intending to just use it to make up my grandchildren's names on some wagons but like so much else in this hobby I've shelved that project while I deal with more urgent matters:???:

I'm off to York for the next week, Already booked time off from the obergruppenfuhrer for a look around the museum, and I took the precaution of getting a signed pass from her so she can't deny giving me permission:lol:

I'll take piccys and post them in a week or so

I used to be normal until my grandson discovered model railways

I have never been able to get to the York Museum Mike so any pictures you bring back with you will be appreciated.

To get the right background colour I would have a photo of the wagon and sample the colour then add the numbers, in some cases I would make a decal for the complete wagon side then print either to decal or self adhesive vinyl. I do this with coaches, if it's a kit I scan the sides then colour them, then do lining, lettering numbers etc.

Cheers MIKE
