Submit your choice of names for 3 signal box cats
Hi Gormo I was thinking Jinty Binty and McGinty....although it would help the latter if you had 2 signal box cats and a goat!

Explosive cats, easels and dogs, penguins and rabbits…….I had to look up that one Mick!!!.
I knew you were artistic Gary, but I didn`t know you had an easel.
Anyway!!!!……fellas…..thanks for the input……I will have to reflect on the amazing range of ideas that have cropped up here tonight ( in Oz ). I must say I now have some interesting mental images too.
:cheers Brian
Ps….overlapping posts.
Thanks Toto & Ian……..goats now as well and the rat pack…….oh my goodness……no shortage of input here.

Great Chesterford West (ginger) cat : 'Puddin' (because he/she looks fat !)
Cheers, Gary.
Sorry Gary,
But you can't have a ginger female,
just as you can't have a male tortoise-shell.
I think there have been 3 recorded cases in the last 25 years (worldwide!)
Just for the record, our ginger toms are Tigger & Tizer.

Thank you for the enlightenment.
Bill :)
At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

The knowledge that abounds on this forum. Who needs to go anywhere else when you need to know something??…….amazing!!
Now back to the business of names. I do like Toto for the ginger cat. Toto….our friend on the forum, has been a constant contributor to my ramblings on GCJ and he has always encouraged me in my efforts, therefore if Toto doesn`t mind, we`ll lock in Toto for the ginger puss and he can be a permanent part of my railway.
:cheers Brian
PS…Matt…try saying Mephistopheles when you`ve had a couple of pints!!!!!

It's a honour. I just hope we never fall out ………….. I could meet a very violent end
Just had a thought…………. What about Murray. He lives on elsewhere on the layout.
Just a thought.
Cheers

There is no sinister motive behind this. If you would rather not be a cat that`s OK. I can find another role for you. Oh oh!!!…..maybe that could be another topic….find a role for Toto on Gormo`s layout, but it must not be a signal box cat……..Nah!!!….better not.
Murray will get his own pub by the way…..The Murray Arms….after all, approximately half the layout was his railway. It`s my little thank you and memorial, by giving him his own pub.
:cheers Brian

Well after much consideration and due deliberation and weighing up of the facts and considering the pros and cons of all the suggestions provided by all who have contributed to this quite important and possibly monumental topic……..I have reached a decision regarding the names of the signal box cats.
I should mention that all contributions were given equal consideration, even the ones where it was obvious that the contributor had not really exercised much intellect in coming up with their proposal.
I am happy to say I bear no prejudice towards those, shall we say, lesser contributors, as indeed I bear no resentment towards some of the rather ribald and racey suggestions that were forwarded by some of our esteemed fraternity. This is a democratic forum and all will be treated equally, even those of you who are not as equal as others will be treated equally. What could be fairer than that.??
If I post any more naming topics in the future I will also set out some standards that should be adhered to……to protect those of us who may have a more delicate nature than others.
So now I will stop keeping you in suspense and reveal the results.
The Great Chesterford East Signal Box Cat was awarded to…….Issie ( Longchap & Bittern )
The Great Chesterford Yard Signal Box Cat was awarded to…….Scarper ( Spurno )
The Great Chesterford West Signal Box Cat was awarded to…….Chester ( Ed )
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have contributed. It has been a bit of fun and has resulted in some choice names for Great Chesterford`s signal box cats.
I applaud you all :Happy:Happy:Happy:Happy:Happy:Happy
:cheers Gormo
PS….any disputes over the results will be dealt with in a fair and honest manner by me. Disputes or objections must be lodged no later than 12:20pm Aust Eastern Standard Time 20/6/15 otherwise they will be rejected for failing to be lodged on time.
