Hi

This is a little diorama I�ve been playing with on and off for the past few weeks, it�s drift mine in On30 (1:48 ). It�s not worthy of the layout section, but the scenery may provide some ideas. It�s far from finished, I�ve switched my attention to other things for the time being:



Static grass







Woodland Scenics coarse clump, and sea foam trees.



Finally the mine mouth,



The earth/scree effect is achieved by using a mix of a brown scatter and fine grey ballast (again both Woodland Scenics products). The rock face was formed using plaster of Paris, and painted with artist's water based acrylics.

This is very much work in progress, thus the large uncovered areas. I�ll work on it in-between doing other things. I�m also planning to scratch build a mine loco based on a powered bogie.
