Answering an earlier question: tie-pins are not aggressive (unless the pin sticks into you while you are trying to do it up!).

Taipans can be very aggressive. The small-scaled snake (a more venomous type of taipan) can be extemely aggressive during the mating season … I know this from experience on a camping trip along the Condamine River. Go within ten feet of them and they flatten their necks and charge at you.
