All scales
In a constant search for realism its only too easy to forget the animals on a rural layout. Heres the new pigfarm (with baked bean can housing;better when its rusted);and the donkey shelter;
show us the animals on your layout?

I'll try and come up with some closer pics but I can't seem to get the macro to work on the camera so the ones I have are of other scenes with tiny coloured spots.
There are at least eight birds visible in this shot if you look closely at the sort of places birds would perch. The lighting has almost bleached them out but there are also two dogs playing on the outhouse roof of Station Villa while "mum" hangs the laundry in the back yard right beside the platform.
This shows a wide view of the farm including some of the outbuildings; cows and horses are identifiable, the farthest field contains sheep and there are dogs and cats around the farm house though not clearly visible.
and the reverse-angle shows the piggery and the beekepers in the distance

The "Comorant Tree" below was taken a couple of weekends ago while on a canoeing trip with my sons about 140kms south of Perth, Western Australia.
Trouble is… they are going to be hard to model in N scale… the pelicans less so.
