Hi

I am confused about Hornby Streamlined Coronations, forgetting the very early short loco i want to know

about the tender drive versions. I picked up a chassis and tender drive and have been looking for a body

I found a body ( super detailed ) but is too narrow to fit my chassis, which is the modified A3 i think

Also i bought a tender ,super detailed but the body will not fit my tender chassis. To add to my confusion

i have been told that the early china issue was a super detailed version but with tender drive.

A complete history of these models would be a great help before i pull out what little hair i have left!

P.S How many different basic bodies were there?

Interesting question, which I am unable to answer, but I do recall the Coronation was revamped a few years ago. It might be worth posing this question on the Hornby website, where they have a forum, as I am sure there are collectors there who would know. They also have copies of loco instruction sheets, which may give a clue.
