In another thread i have been playing about with a switchpilot accesory decoder i have 3 Peco pl10 standard motors fitted beneath them.

They actully work fine and throw the only limitation i found i need to give a 2 second delay to switch again to prevent a misfire.

During disscussions Chris H said he uses The Peco PL10W versions of the motor as they require  less amps.

So i thought i would try them so i picked a few up and have swapped them with 2 of the pl10`s already fitted.

Well i must say with these PL10w`S you get  a very positive throw and i do not have any delay at all in switching them.

So i would recommend anybody who likes Peco motors and wishes to use them with a dcc accesory decoder buy the pl10w version they work much better .

Not a lot of help if you already have Pl10`s but for future purchases bear this in mind

Better luck than i had Brian i connected my first switchpilot, early doors of my layout, to  lomy PL10's and nowt happened, nothing, dead as a parrot. Got the switchpilot swapped under warranty now it awaits to be programmed to control my lighting.

I will put a little order together for Kernow my News Years resolution to support members of this forum.

Regards
Pete.

ECOS2 with RR&Co Traincontroller and a load of other electronics so i can sit back and watch the trains go by.
