where to position them

This is how my layout looks at the moment. I only have the one power feed which is just before the siding. Where would be the best places to addd extra feeds to make the rest of the layout powered from the one dc controller to allow one train full access to the layout

With Hornby points being Insulfrogs & only one controller, put feeds to both tracks at the left hand end, connect together & then to the controller output. Locos can be isolated by using the sidings.

Good stuff, that'll keep you busy. Meanwhile you can run trains. I'm still a long way from that luxury yet but never mind, getting there.

I'll look forward to seeing these platforms coming on stream.

Cheers for now.

Hi Trevor,

How is that going to work then. What do you have in mind for the extension?

You have me curious now, or is it just plain mosey :mutley

Cheers

My baseboard is 8ft long 4ft wide and this track mat leaves me with a 2 x 4 area which i will use for a yard area with sheds for locos and a fueling area which will be entered from the siding that you see at the top of the pic on this thread

All is clear. A 2 x 4 ft space should give you plenty space for a shed with a couple of lanes and leave enough room for a fuelling facility.

Onwards and upwards.

Look forward to seeing it all develop. Cheers for now
