position of track feeds

Hi there i have recently purchased the blue highlander set contAining basic hornby oval and a siding. I was just wondering does it matter which side of the oval i place the power track in relation to the siding

It won't matter where you put the power feed as it is a basic oval and there is no isolation between any track pieces. Just don't put it in the siding, as the sidings power is fed via the direction of the point blades.

Ideal thanks guys. I might just swap the position of the power track and two short straights with the big straight. As im limited in the length of the power cord from the controller.
